Individual Therapy

For adults who want to understand themselves more deeply, shift long-standing patterns, and move forward with intention.

No mystery. Just protected time, intentional space, and a steady professional presence.

Making Space for the Work

Individual therapy here centers on something many people rarely get enough of: space.

Space to slow down. Space to notice what has been shaping your thoughts, emotions, and reactions. Space to reflect without needing to explain or justify yourself.

Some people arrive with clear goals. Others arrive without a specific agenda at all. Therapy offers a place to pause, sort, and begin responding more intentionally.

Sessions can be reflective, practical, exploratory, or structured. Often, they are a blend, depending on what feels most supportive in the moment.

What a Therapy Session Looks Like

Individual sessions are 50 minutes. They are structured enough to feel grounding and flexible enough to meet you where you are.

Arriving and settling in
We begin with a check in. This may include updates since your last session, naming your current emotional state, or noticing what feels most present that day. When helpful, we may start with a brief grounding or centering exercise to help you settle into the space.

Core therapeutic work
The central part of the session is where the work happens. This may be shaped by what you bring in that day, by ongoing themes we are tracking together, or by previously identified goals.

Some sessions are more open and client led, allowing space to explore what is unfolding in real time. Others are more therapist led and structured, especially when working with specific needs, patterns, or skills.

Your therapist may offer questions, reflections, or interventions tailored to you. This can include experiential exercises, mindfulness or somatic practices, expressive or creative approaches, and structured tools for working with thoughts, emotions, relationships, or trauma.

Not every session produces a dramatic insight, and that is expected. Over time, the work accumulates. Understanding deepens. Patterns soften. Capacity grows.

Integration and transition
Sessions close with space to reflect on what feels important to carry forward, how the work might continue between sessions, and support for transitioning back into your day. The focus is integration, not assignments or pressure.

Bottom line
Therapy here is steady, cumulative work, not a performance and not a rush toward outcomes.

Therapy and AI, Used Intentionally

Many people already use AI tools when they are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of their inner world, often late at night or between sessions. We acknowledge that reality and help clients use these tools thoughtfully.

In therapy, AI can be explored as:

  • a reflective tool between sessions

  • a way to organize thoughts or emotions

  • a prompt for insight that can be unpacked together

We also integrate AI as an expressive and creative medium when appropriate, similar to using art materials, writing, or imagery. This can support symbol making, perspective shifting, and expression when words alone feel limiting.

AI does not replace therapy, clinical judgment, or human connection. Instead, it can become another medium, one that we approach ethically, transparently, and collaboratively.

(AI is never given personal identifying information or used for diagnosis, decision making, or treatment without clinical oversight.)

Investment & Billing

Individual therapy sessions are $170 for a 50 minute session.

Therapy is an investment of time, energy, and resources, and it works best when those commitments feel intentional rather than pressured. Sessions can be scheduled with a frequency that supports your chosen level of investment.

We are not paneled with insurance directly but can provide support for Out of Network Benefits. Use our Benefits Checker  to see how much you can be reimbursed for your sessions. Payments are collected through our secure, HIPAA compliant portal at the time of service.

You have options, and there is no single “right” entry point.

Free Consult:

A brief call to ask questions, talk at a high level about what you are looking for, and determine fit.

Book an Initial Session:

Sometimes the best way to know if it could work is to just try it out. Fit is always a mutual decision, and we will talk openly if adjustments or referrals are needed after this session and it does not commit you to ongoing therapy.
