A therapy group for tapping into self-trust, resilience, and inner steadiness as life unfolds.

Therapy Groups as Intentional Self-Care

Many people are drawn to group work not because something is wrong, but because the experience itself feels grounding, engaging, and supportive. Like other forms of intentional self-care, the value comes from showing up, slowing down, and giving yourself space to reflect and reconnect in a guided way.

Anchored and Rising offers a structured yet spacious therapy group experience that blends reflection, conversation, and expressive exploration. Rather than focusing on fixing problems or pushing toward outcomes, the group emphasizes cultivating internal supports. These are ways of orienting to yourself that allow you to feel grounded, present, and capable even as life continues to move.

Each session includes guided reflection, facilitated group dialogue, and expressive practices using symbolism, imagery, or writing. The expressive work is not about artistic skill or performance. It is a way of engaging the mind and body together to support insight and meaning-making.

This group is grounded in the belief that movement and change are natural parts of life, and that new, busy, or unfamiliar seasons do not have to be approached with anxiety or bracing. Together, we practice ways of relating to ourselves that support inner steadiness, curiosity, and self-trust as life unfolds.

This is an intentional space for people who want depth, connection, and engagement without urgency, pressure, or the expectation to have everything figured out.

Many participants find that group work becomes a meaningful complement to other forms of therapy over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an artist or creative to join?

No artistic experience is required. The expressive practices in this group are designed to support reflection and insight, not artistic skill. Most activities offer options such as writing or visual expression. What matters most is a willingness to engage and explore.

What do you mean by expressive practices?

Expressive practices may include simple drawing, visual symbolism, guided imagery, or reflective writing. These practices are used as tools for understanding and meaning, not for performance or critique.

Do I need to be in a major life transition to join?

No. Many participants are simply interested in engaging in a process that supports healthier ways of approaching life. This group is for people who want to reflect, orient inwardly, and strengthen how they meet whatever life brings, whether or not a specific transition is happening.

Is this a support group?

This is a therapy group rather than a support group. While connection and shared experience are important, the group is structured and facilitated with therapeutic intention rather than open sharing alone.

How is this different from individual therapy?

Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to reflect and grow in the presence of others. Hearing different perspectives and noticing shared themes often deepens insight and supports self-understanding in ways that individual therapy alone cannot.

What if I feel nervous about joining a group?

That is very common. The group is intentionally structured to feel predictable, respectful, and contained. You are always in control of what and how much you share.

What if I don't see any individual session times that work for me during the online booking?

Pre group Individual sessions are scheduled online at the time of purchase and take place the week prior to the group starting. Available appointment times are shown to support easy booking and coordination with the group schedule.

Not all possible appointment times are listed online. If you do not see a time that works for you, please reach out before purchasing so we can explore additional scheduling options. We are often able to open additional times to support group participants while coordinating other client services.
